Rememebering What’s Important This Christmas

Author: Sometimes the destination of your holiday trip isn’t as important as the people that you spend it with. Of course spending time in the hot sun on a beautiful beach is always a great time. If you think back to some of your best vacations though, I bet you remember the experiences more than the weather or area. If your in paradise with someone that you don’t really enjoy being around, you still won’t have a great time. Likewise, if you spend a few days snowed in at a mountain cabin with some great friends, you can have the time of your life.
So as much as you want to pick a great location for your trip, remember to enjoy the people that you are spending the time with. As much as we like our friends, we usually spend most of our family time alone. It’s nice to go on vacation with a bunch of people, but it’s also nice to spend some quality time alone with just your immediate family. Taking a trip over the holidays may be just what you need to get recharged and reconnected with your spouse and children. These are the times that your kids will remember as they get older and think back to their days as a kid. In the end, all we really have are our memories and the times spent with the ones that we love.
Buying a Christmas vacation package for your family will surely be one of the best gifts that you can buy. The toys will break or the kids will become disinterested with them. The clothes will go out of style, or won’t fit anymore. The impersonal gift cards will be used for whatever and forgot about. The memories from a great vacation trip will always be there, as well as the pictures to go with them. As I get a little older, I know that I am getting more sentimentel, but quality time spent with the ones that you love will never lose it’s importance. Of course, you can spend quality time with family where ever you are at, it’s just a lot funner on the beach!
